SDEN2+ - Wine Certificate Follow-up Course Oct.

Service Description

You'll be taught by a certified wine instructor (the only one in Breda) and a certified vinologist. The price includes a course book (value €37.50). (The course will proceed with a minimum of 6 participants.) SDEN 2 is a follow-up to the wine vignette or basic course. It's a five-evening course for wine enthusiasts who already know something about wine and have some tasting experience. The course can be concluded with a national exam in Maarn. The exam consists of theory and practice. The wine certificate means that you: * Have tasted at least 40 wines. * Can write tasting notes according to the SDEN method. * Know the most common grape varieties. * Recognize the most important classic and new wine regions. * Know the basics of viticulture. * Know some wine legislation. * Know the basics of winemaking. * Know different wine styles. * Know the basics of wine and food pairings. * Some knowledge of responsible alcohol consumption. Taking the exam is not required. The exam fee (approximately €90) is not included in the course price. To stay current and/or pass the exam, 20 to 30 hours of reading/study time are recommended.
